Forecastle Cashless: Pay With A Tap Of The Wrist!
Forecastle Cashless is the easy way for you to pay for food, drinks, merch and more with the tap of a wrist.
Here’s how it works:
- You can register your wristband in advance during which time you will also have the option to link your account with any of your credit cards to your wristband and set a required PIN for security. Now you’re registered for Cashless too!
- Once you’re at the fest, just order at any bar or vendor location displaying the Cashless logo, and let them know you are paying with your wristband.
- Then tap your wristband, enter your PIN, and go!
- We still suggest that you bring some cash and/or a card as backup though, as many craft vendors and some other vendors may not be accepting cashless.
Q. Do I have to Register my wristband?
A: Yes. While cashless registration is optional, you must Register your wristband for access into the festival as each wristband is uniquely identifiable to each patron. Register here.
Q: Do I have to sign up for Cashless?
A: No. Although Registering your wristband is required, cashless is not. That being said, we highly encourage it as it will make your life much easier while at Forecastle, and it might just save you from having to run back to your car to pick up a forgotten wallet during a big show. With cashless, your credit card is securely attached to your wrist!
Q: Will I need to bring any other forms of payment with me?
A: Yes. We would recommend bringing some cash and/or a credit/debit card with you to Forecastle just in case the vendor you choose to shop with is one of the few that doesn’t accept cashless or in the very unlikely event of an issue with the cashless system.
Q: How does this work? Do I have to deposit money into an account or does it charge directly to my card?
A: With Forecastle cashless, there is no need to load any money onto or “top up” your wristband as you might have experienced at some other events. When you register for the cashless option on your wristband you will securely link your credit or debit card with the wristband. So when you pay for something with your wristband, it will be just like swiping your card at a store.
Q: Will I be able to pay for food and drinks with my wristband?
A: Yes. Most food vendors on-site will accept cashless as a form of payment. That being said, we still recommend bringing cash and/or a card with you as a few food vendors, roaming food/drink carts, and craft merchants might not accept cashless.
Q: Will I be able to pay for crafts and craft vendors with my wristband?
A:No. We would recommend bringing cash and/or a card with you if you are interested in purchasing crafts.
Q: Will I be able to pay for Forecastle merchandise with my wristband?
A: YES! Forecastle merchandise locations will accept cashless payment.
Q: Can I edit or clear out the data on my wristband?
A: YES! You can edit/clear registration data after you’ve added it by going to the registration page. Enter in your wristband number again, and then it will ask you for the email address already associated with the wristband. You’ll then have the ability to edit, or delete, the information you put in there previously.
Q: Will there be ATMs on-site at the festival?
A: YES! These will be located around the grounds. Specific locations will be notated in the Forecastle mobile app. (Coming soon.)
Q: If I forget to register my wristband, can I do it on-site at the festival?
A: Yes. Located at the entrance there will be “Registration Kiosks” that will allow you to register your wristband and sign up for cashless. You will also be able to register your wristband at ANY point on your mobile device.
