All aboard! Join us in welcoming Nashville rockers and Forecastle alumni Moon Taxi featuring special guest Chancellor Warhol to Mercury Ballroom on Saturday, July 19, Louisville’s electrifying new live music venue in the heart of the downtown historic theatre district.
Having captivated audiences in the Southeast and beyond, Moon Taxi recently released their third album, Mountains Beaches Cities. To them, it represents the idea of exploration – searching both the world and themselves for new experiences. The indie rockers focused on extending the sonic landscape they’d created in earlier recordings, but this time around they amp up the speed and turn up the volume – creating an overall bigger sound. They’re sure to bring the heat to the beautiful Ballroom, so don’t miss your chance to experience the Taxi!

Join us in welcoming soulful band St. Paul and the Broken Bones featuring special guest Curtis Harding to Headliners Music Hall on Friday, July 18. Grit, elemental rhythm, tight-as-a-drumhead playing, and a profound depth of feeling: these are the promises of a great soul band. And St. Paul & The Broken Bones deliver on those promises. Produced by Ben Tanner of Alabama Shakes, and recorded and mixed in the storied R&B mecca of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, their debut album Half the City harkens back to the region’s classic soul roots while extending the form with electrifying potency.
Also on Friday night, you’ll have the chance to experience booming bass master MiM0SA, Friday night 7/18 on the Belle of Louisville! MiM0SA’s music has been explained by others as a genre of it’s own and self-described as Future Trill. His combination of hip-hop beats with futuristic electronic music is a unique blend that has been selling out venues in North America for years. The Los Angeles-based artist is known for his electrifying live show production. His live performances have definitely earned him critical acclaim, with SPIN naming him as one of the “Top 10 Acts at Bonnaroo of 2012.” 2014 will see a follow up album, aptly titled, Future Trill V.2.
