The weekend may be over but that doesn’t mean the fun stops here! We’re going to have plenty of coverage for your post-Forecastle blues, from photos to videos and more. But first, start off with a little note from all of us on the ship and check out the video above. To our beloved city of Louisville, our artists, and most importantly our FANS, you made Forecastle absolutely magical! Thank you for a spectacularly unforgettable weekend!
Absolutely one for the ages! Today was a sunshine-filled experience, the perfect backdrop for our final day on the Waterfront! From the symmetrically lovely Lucius to The Replacements’ legendary set featuring Billie Joe Armstrong AND Josh Freese, and of course our main man Beck, we’ve lived the dream today and everyday this weekend. Enjoy a recap here!
Day 2 brought the music in full force to the Waterfront! We had the reunion of Louisville post-rockers Slint, legend Dwight Yoakam, celebrity bartending with Patrick Hallahan of Spanish Gold and My Morning Jacket … and of course, rocker god Jack White, whose 40-minute encore set ended with “Seven Nation Army.” Get the lowdown here!
In case you haven’t heard, Day 1 of Forecastle absolutely rocked the Waterfront! From Outkast to Twenty One Pilots, JJ Grey & Mofro to all of YOUR beautiful faces, it was a day we won’t soon forget. Check out our photo recap here!
As if you could forget, Forecastle starts TODAY! Get onboard and get in gear with all we’ve got in store for you.
If you know anything about Forecastle, you know we love to celebrate all things Louisville. That’s why there’s plenty more to explore at our festival than just the music! No Forecastle experience is complete without a visit (or two…) to the bourbon mecca Bourbon Lodge, featuring culinary surprises, speciality drinks, and festival perks that are unrivaled, including celebrity bartending and more!
And you’ll of course have to stop by this year’s all-new Kentucky Landing, our Forecastle homage to the glorious Bluegrass State. On hand will be a variety of craft beer breweries pouring samples of their Kentucky-based creations, local food trucks from all over region, and a world-class select group of non-profit organizations and craft vendors selling their Kentucky-made goods, and the API Poster Show, showcasing the work of some of today’s most relevant poster makers, whose clients include some of Forecastle’s biggest headlining bands from past and present.
There’s also plenty of surprises to explore all over the site, including the Four Loko Photo Finish, a one-of-a-kind horse race where you’re the steed! Strap on the provided inflatable horse and race against other worthy patrons for all sorts of prizes including VIP weekend passes and accommodations for Forecastle 2015! Full rules and participation details available here.
We all need time to recharge and you don’t have to leave the Waterfront to do it! On site we’ll have everything you need to kick back and relax, from free Eco Vessel Hydration Stations (with limited edition Forecastle-branded bottles!) to Eno Hammock lounge areas, from the Complimentary Bike Valet presented by Mailchimp to the Pluggo Mobile Charging Stations and more! Get the lowdown here.

Saturday welcomes the Bluegrass Situation and Americana Music Association Late-Night Hang Featuring The 23 String Band, Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors, Humming House, and Matrimony to Headliners Music Hall, where each band will perform a Kentucky-inspired track and there’ll also be a collaborative jam at the end between all acts!
